Peace for Your Heart
God will Guard

“You will keep him in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3 NIV

Are you still trusting God? That’s where we started this journey, and in Him, you can confidently face this battle for God’s peace. Keep on trusting, keep your life submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and resist the work of the enemy. You will see anxiety and fear retreat from your life.

As you implement these spiritual actions in your life, it’s also important to check your surroundings and daily habits – physically, emotionally and spiritually. Take a moment and consider – how do you begin each day?

God’s word promises that if you set your mind on Him, you will have peace. God will keep you in a place of perfect and constant peace, free from anxiety or fear or worry.

Do you start the day by seeking God’s presence and reading His word? Where does your mind go during the day? What kind of music do you listen to, what kind of people do you hang with? How often do you scroll your Instagram feed?

If you adjust how you start your day by focusing on God and the good things in His word, you can set the tone for the rest of the day.

God’s peace will prevail. You’ll be at an advantage to maintain that peace throughout the day. And, if nervousness or panic begins to creep in, the Bible offers a clear solution! Read this:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NIV

If you sense God’s peace slipping away, take action. Don’t let the panic overrun you. Pray. Turn to God. Ask for His help and thank Him for His intervention.

Then – expect peace! His peace will come like a shield, guarding your heart and your mind.

Reflect

Jesus gives a peace that surpasses the world’s, so stand firm and let not your heart be troubled or afraid—His peace is yours to keep

Pray

God, right now I am feeling anxious, but I choose to set my mind on You. I ask You to show me changes I can make in my daily life that will help me walk in Your perfect peace. Let Your peace come now and guard my heart and my mind. I trust You, God, and I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God cares about every detail of your life. You can choose how your day begins, and if you set your mind on God, pray to Him when anxiety creeps in, and thank Him for His goodness, His peace will become a shield for you.

Read

“Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.” Psalm 119:165 NIV

“The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 NIV
