Setting Limits

Learning to be content with what you have is one way to get in control of your finances. Contentment means you don’t need to keep buying newer and bigger things, but instead you take care of what you have and use it well. When you don’t need to keep buying more stuff, or bigger toys, you are free to heed God’s call to use the resources He’s given you to make a difference in the world for His glory. This post encourages you to prayerfully figure out where you are comfortable living so you can generously give the excess for God’s kingdom work.

The Wrap Up

What is your “enough level” going to be? Decide and then determine not to give in to the temptation to want more, or bigger, or better. Instead, manage your finances and budget your money so you can meet your needs, alleviate your stress, and still give generously. All of these steps are important for your financial wellness. The next post, the last in this Growth Plan, will help you implement these steps and others to achieve financial wellness.
