Let God be in Control

What would it take for you to live a stable, secure, satisfied life? You're learning that you won't find lasting happiness or contentment in the things of this world. The only kind of peace that's lasting and secure is the kind that comes from God. When you let Him take control of your life, you'll have a peace that surpasses understanding. This post outlines three ways you can find and rest in God's peace.

Isaiah 26:3

Pray

Father, I see now that the things of this world will never bring me true contentment. I want the serenity that only You can give me. Help me find and rest in Your peace.

Reflect

Do I really trust in God and rest in His peace, or am I still looking to the world for it?

Respond

Spend some time thinking about the three principles in this post and how you can learn to find peace by working through them.

The Wrap Up

When you obey God’s principles, focus on His presence, and trust in His purpose, you will begin to know peace. And when you make peace with God, you will have peace in your life. Allowing Him to be in control of your life lets you make room for His grace. Surrendering your rights and plans to His authority is one way you can let Him have control of your life. The next post will help you learn how to let go and let God.
