Scripture: Psalm 119:129-130, Proverbs 2:1-8, Ephesians 1:17

Unfolding. Think about that word for moment. Maybe your initial thought relates to how you unfold a letter you receive in the mail, or the gradual unfolding of a dramatic story. But unfolding is also a beautiful picture of what happens within us as we immerse our hearts and minds with God’s Word.

In the process of unfolding, information is revealed and disclosed. The Word, living and active, reaches into the deepest places of our heart. Wisdom, insight, and understanding begin to blossom within and overflow into our daily life, as well as the lives of those around us.

The opening up of our hearts and souls to wisdom and understanding brings peace and rejoicing. It turns our heart toward God and away from empty pursuits and worldly satisfactions. It gives life to our entire existence. This is not for a small few. This unfolding of Truth is available to every heart hungry to know God and experience the power of the living, breathing Word of God in their lives.

As you continue to sit at the feet of Jesus, come with a heart of deep expectation for what the truths of Scripture can bring to life in your own heart and the transformation that will come as you openly receive what the Holy Spirit brings.
