When you are seeking God’s purpose and plan for your life, it can be easy to listen to the voices in your head that try to tell you that you can’t follow His calling for a variety of reasons. You can’t because you’re too busy, or you’re just not smart enough. You can’t because you aren’t sure if what you want is God’s will, or you’re worried about what others might think. This “I Can’t” list could be the very thing that is holding you back from fulfilling your purpose. The following post will help you see that maybe the desires God has put on your heart are His desires for your purpose—and that you can do what He has called you to do.
Go For It Beyond Imagination Edit
Psalm 37:4
God, I don’t want my thoughts about my limitations keep me from living out my purpose. Give me the strength and confidence to know that I can do what You call me to do.
Am I spending my time thinking about why I can’t instead of trusting that with God I can?
Make a physical “I Can’t” list, and pray over the reasons you are holding yourself back. Ask God to replace your fears with the courage to follow His purpose in your life. Remember to tear up the list so it doesn’t keep holding you back!
There is nothing that the devil wants more than to hold you back from fulfilling your purpose as a child of God. He will use any trick he can to get you to stop. He will make you think you can’t, he will throw obstacles in your way, and he will make you think you are alone or that the job is impossible. But God wants more for you than that! He wants you to be fulfilled in Him. This next post will encourage you to finish the good work that God has for you so you won’t be thwarted in following His calling.
