Luke 12:7
Pray
God, help me see myself the way You see me. Help me understand how much You love me and how valuable I am in Your eyes.
Reflect
Do I trust what the Bible says about how God loves me?
Respond
Continue to study Scripture to learn how much God loves you and rest in that peace.
The world believes in a false characterization of self-esteem. Your worth is not tied to external and temporal things like your looks, your job, your performance, or your position. Your worth has nothing to do with what others think of you. It doesn’t even rest on how you see yourself. You are worthy because God says you are. When you trust in God’s power and in His Word, which tells you how precious you are in His sight, you can overcome issues of low self-esteem. Start looking at yourself through God’s eyes, and you will see someone of great value. You will see someone who is dearly loved. This is what you can trust. Take your eyes off your view of yourself, and trust only in God’s view of you. This is the only way you will be able to develop and hold on to a positive self-image.
