DAY 1 – See What God Sees
“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.” Ephesians 1:4 NLT
Change doesn’t always happen overnight – but it can begin today. If you’re tired of who you are and how you’ve been living, your change can start now. The very first thing you must do to embrace any sort of change in your life is to remember that God sees you, right here, right now – as wonderful. He created you that way. Here’s what King David wrote in the bible, inspired by the understanding God’s Spirit gave to him:
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful…” Psalm 139: 13, 14 NIV
In fact, Genesis 1:27 says he created you in his image. From the very beginning, God created you to be amazing. It’s important to grasp this fact: you are not a mistake, an accident nor some coincidental occurrence. Can you own this? Can you believe it?
Take a moment and let this fact sink in. Then, think of one thing you’re good at or that you love about yourself and thank God for the wonderful way he created you. It can be anything.
Are you kind to the underdog? Do you have great sportsmanship? Are you a good organizer or administrator, a writer or musician? Are you a good wife or husband or friend? What’s one thing you like about you?
Pray It: Thank you, God, that I am wonderfully made. I choose to believe your word that I am not an accident or a mistake. Thank you that I am _____________________ (name at least one thing you love about yourself) and help me to use this to bring you glory in the earth. It’s in Jesus’ name I ask these things. Amen.
Say It: I am wonderfully made by God.
Do It: Affirm someone else today. Tell someone one good thing you like about them.
Embrace God’s Word About You:
