Men sometimes have a tendency to treat romance as a multiple-choice test. When they don't know the answer, they do the same thing they did when they were taking a pop quiz in school:
They guess.
C.J. Mahaney, husband to Carolyn for 30 years and the senior pastor of the Sovereign Grace Church in Louisville, KY, says that's not necessary. Men do not have to guess. The same way you get a good grade on a pop quiz is the same way you learn the best way to romance:
You study.
Mahaney gives men some tips on what they should note to romance their wives effectively. And, ladies, if you feel like eavesdropping and offering a few "amens," Mahaney won't hold that against you.

PRAY
Your Word, Father, counsels us to study to show ourselves approved. Thank You for showing us how many different ways that can apply as we study our partners, seeking to better show them just how much we really love them. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
REFLECT
"Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church ..." — Ephesians 5:25-33
