“I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”
Sometimes when we watch the news it’s easy to forget that as Christ-followers we have the certainty that one day Jesus Christ will be proclaimed Lord of all the earth. All authority is His. And the only resolution, ultimately, to human conflict and suffering is a revelation of the Prince of Peace. We’re not Jesus-followers just so we can show up on the weekends with other church folk to recite a creed or add a little bit of information to our doctrinal notebook. We are Jesus-followers so that we can worship and serve Jesus of Nazareth by sharing His message of freedom and deliverance in our homes, workplaces, communities, and around the world.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, it is my privilege as an ambassador of Your Kingdom to share the good news of Your Son, who is alive now and forever. May the name of Jesus be lifted up over all the earth, and may His disciples come forth from every nation. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.
