The Winning Walk

If you are God’s covenant child, He promises to watch your paths. Just when you think it’s hopeless, He is there to lead you home.

For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the LORD, And He watches all his paths. Proverbs 5:21

When our son Ed was four he liked to wander into woods near our house. I’d retrieve and discipline him, but it did no good. One day I allowed Ed to stray off into the forest. I followed from a distance, hiding behind a tree. Deeper into the woods he went, and finally realized he was lost. Just as he began to cry, I stepped out from a hiding place. “So, are you ready to go home?” I asked Ed. If you are God’s covenant child, He promises to watch your paths. Just when you think it’s hopeless, He is there to lead you home.
