There are thousands of unreached people groups, people who have never been told of the love of God in Jesus Christ. Yet one of the most overlooked people groups in the world are the millions of orphans without homes. Adoption and foster care are great ways to reach out to these children in need. And what better way to share the love of Christ with a lost child than to bring him or her into a loving Christian home?
God’s Word gives us a theology of adoption. Without Christ, we are all spiritual orphans. Through faith in Christ, we are adopted children of God—no longer fatherless but able to know God as Father.
When we think of missions, of reaching the lost, don’t overlook children in need of a family. It’s one of the greatest mission fields in the world.
