Read: Ecclesiastes 10:1-12:14
On my birthday, I cannot help but think about my life’s journey. I am always astounded by the speed at which each year passes. Ecclesiastes 12:1 instructs us to “[remember] your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, ‘I find no pleasure in them.’"
We can remember God by regularly reading the Bible. God’s Word provides us with direction. We can remember God through consistent prayer that offers thanksgiving and asks for greater understanding of God’s will for our lives. We can remember God through giving. A generous heart demonstrates God’s love and selflessness. We can remember God through service to others. Never underestimate a small act of kindness. It can have a significant impact on the recipient. We can remember God through evangelism. Share your salvation story with others. Invite them to partake of God’s joy.
Each year, our lives should show evidence of a closer walk with God. If today was your birthday could you look back and see spiritual growth in your life?
