Read: Hebrews 13
You know those days when you wake up and you feel completely inadequate in your ability to accomplish your goals for the day, the week, or the rest of your life?
We all have those days. Some of us have been waking up to that feeling for years. So how do we overcome this sense of inadequacy and stop doubting our value? The answer is in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Hebrews 13:20-21 says, “May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
If Jesus is Lord of your life, you have everything you need to accomplish what Christ has called you to do. God has equipped you for everything you are going to face, because according to scripture He takes pleasure in seeing us accomplish the work He has given us to do.
The peace of God will take hold of our lives when we begin to grasp God’s word and His promises. His peace is always there and available to us, but it’s when we’re trusting God to work in us that we feel it. As you pray today, think about what you need to trust God to do in order to walk with confidence into the tasks ahead.
