John 10:3 - The watchman opens the gate for him and the sheep listen to His voice.
John 10:14 - I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.
In order to hear God’s voice you have to seek Him and then listen. You will learn His voice just like you have learned the voice of your child. For example, if you are at a playground with a lot of children and you hear, “Mommy," you know your child’s voice over all the other children’s voices. You have spent time with your child and you KNOW his/her voice.
Change your focus from the anxious thoughts to the action of learning to trust in God with your anxiousness. Trade your anxiousness in for peace. Tell God what you are anxious about with your children. Ask Him for His wisdom and guidance.
If you are seeking God, He will find you and He will show you how to parent your child the way he/she needs to be parented. God knows everything about your child; He is the creator of your child. He knows things even you don’t know about your child. Trust in Him. Become totally dependent on Christ concerning everything. By trusting in your Heavenly Father, your faith will grow, and from your faith, peace will begin to bloom in your life.
Prayer
Father, I want to be able to distinguish Your voice above all other voices. I want Your voice to be so clear in my soul that there is no doubt in my mind as to who I am listening to. God, give me courage to step out in faith when I hear Your voice. You are my shepherd and I am your sheep- guide me.
