Beautiful Feet!

Description

God is looking for those who will believe His promise about beautiful feet! Those who will go and tell will find that His anointing is with them as they do.

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."  (Romans 10:13)

We only have to watch the TV or read the newspaper to see the mess the world is in. At every level - politically, economically, morally, and spiritually – the human race seems to lurch from bad to worse. Even creation itself, the Bible tells us, is eager to be "liberated from its bondage to decay" (Romans 8:21). Of course, the world’s basic problem is not economics or politics or ecology, but sin. It is because of sin that people "love darkness instead of light," and "do evil" (John 3:19-20). Yet despite this dark picture, God promises that "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Which is where the beautiful feet come in! For people to be saved, they first need to hear the good news that can save them; and that in turn means people going and telling it to them. This is why Paul writes: "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!' " (Romans 10:15).

God is looking for those who will believe His promise about beautiful feet! Those who will go and tell will find that His anointing is with them as they do. This doesn’t mean having to go to some far-flung nation; mission begins right on our own doorstep – among our unsaved family and friends, with neighbors, at school or college, at our workplace. As we are faithful in going and telling, God promises to add His blessing.

So, why not claim His promise today of having "beautiful feet"? That is, of people thinking it fantastic that you went to them and brought the good news of Jesus that alone can rescue them from a messed-up world. God’s heart is to see everyone saved; will you play your part in giving someone a chance for that to happen?

We have put our hope in the living God, who is the savior of all men, and especially those who believe. (1 Timothy 4:10)
