Prayer of Hannah

Description

How many times as a Mom do you take your children for granted? Always remember that every child is a gift from God.

I Samuel 2:1-2

Then Hannah prayed and said, “My heart rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance.”

Hannah was so grateful to God for the birth of her son. She had experienced great sorrow in being barren for her entire life, and then God answered her prayer and gave her a son, Samuel. She is thanking and praising God in these verses because she knows whom her deliverer was God.

Every child is a gift from God. God, the creator of all things, blesses us with children, and we need to give all praise and glory to Him. How many times as a mom, do I take my children for granted? A mother that is barren and finally conceives or adopts never takes her child for granted, because they realize how precious that little life is.

Give your child a sweet hug today, and thank God for the miracle of life.

Prayer:

Father, Thank you for the blessing of my children. God, I do not ever want to take one day for granted concerning my children. Each day is a gift from you. My prayer is that I will treasure these days and be a great steward of the gift you have given to me.
