Son, there are consequences to giving fear a place in your life. When I told Moses to send 12 spies into Canaan, it was not to determine whether they could take the land. That had already been settled. I wanted them to go to prepare them for what they were going to receive and to familiarize them with the land and their enemy. When I call you to do something, I have already made a way for it to be accomplished. Your faith must be mixed with action. As you step into obedience, I meet you there. Until you place your foot into the water, just as the priests did when carrying the ark across the Jordan, you will not experience the power of faith that can part waters (Josh 4:18). Fear always dismantles faith and blocks you from your destiny. It can even kill you. Fear is the root of many diseases. Son, I am not the author of fear. It is one of the enemy's tools. I want you to repent of any areas of your life today where fear has led you to make wrong choices. Remember, I call things that are not as though they are (Rom 4:17). You must do the same. You can trust me.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind—I Timothy 1:7.
Now the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation complain against him by bringing a bad report of the land, those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the Lord. But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive, of the men who went to spy out the land—Numbers 14:36-38.
