Son, I want to remind you that it was I who chose you, just as I chose my disciples through my Son. "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you (Jn 15:16; Jn 12:32). When I call you into relationship with me and my Son, I also take on the responsibility of fulfilling my purposes in and through your life (Ps 138:8). Yes, you had to respond to my invitation. But it is my grace that was working in you to draw you to me. The gifts I have placed in you will always be available to you. The more completely you yield these to me, the greater the impact I will have through your life. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Son, be assured that I will fulfill your purpose as you offer yourself to me.
He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it—1 Thessalonians 5:24.
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called—Ephesians 4:1.
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable—Romans 11:29.
