Listening to the Father's Heart - July 22

Son, do you remember the story of the widow who cried out to the unjust judge to avenge her enemy? He finally answered her after she wore him down with her continual appeals. This is a picture of perseverance in prayer. This is where your battle will be won, rather than through your performance or your skill.  “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts" (Zech 4:6). I am a just God who does not relate to you as the unjust judge in this story. I am in heaven actually cheering you on to continue to appeal to me to defeat your adversaries. My Son is also interceding on your behalf. There is a court in heaven where my Son presents the petitions of my sons and daughters. Keep praying son. Never stop. It is the lifeblood of your calling with me.

Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”   Luke 18:6-8
