Listening to the Father's Heart - April 12

Son, I want to remind you that I am Jehovah Jireh. I am your provider no matter how dire the circumstance. There is not a situation in which I am not able to provide. My son Elijah needed food; I sent ravens to feed him (1 Kings 17:4). My widow was on her last meal; I sent my prophet to multiply her flour (1 Kings 17:14). Hundreds of thousands of my people lived in the desert and could not survive without my help; I brought them manna and quail (Ex 16:4, 13). I feed the birds of the air (Mt 6:26). I own the cattle on a thousand hills (Ps 50:10). There is no lack in me. You must always see me as your provider (Gen 22:14). I will get what you need even if I have to send ravens to feed you. This is who I am. Trust me always to be your source.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.  Exodus 16:4

I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying, “At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. And you shall know that I am the Lord your God.”   Exodus 16:12
