It's hard for you to believe I delight in who you are and all that you are, my son. Whatever shortcomings you may believe you have do not reduce the extraordinary love I have for you. The evil one has planted thoughts into your head that you simply are unlovable. Nothing could be farther from the truth. My nature is redemption. I look at each of my sons and daughters through this lens. If you sin, all you must do is ask forgiveness (1Jn. 1:9). Remember what I said to my son Peter when he asked how often one must forgive? Seventy times seventy (Mt 18:22). Really, there is no limit to forgiveness. It is always available to you. And remember, shame says you made a mistake and you ARE the mistake. Conviction means you made a mistake but you are NOT the mistake. We will all fail in this life. Learn from your mistakes my son. There is no such thing as perfection in a human being.
Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and Your praise all the day long. Ps 35:27b-28
