Evidence

There are telltale signs as to where a person has been. For instance, if someone saw you with a bright red sunburn, they could assume you were outside for the day. The evidence is there.

I wonder if people can tell if we have “been with Jesus?” The reason I say this is because that was said of Peter and John—that they “had been with Jesus.”

What does this mean exactly? It means that they were like Him in so many ways that even their opponents could see it.

The Bible says, “The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men who had had no special training. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13 NLT).

Can people tell that you have “have been with Jesus?” Or, to put it another way, if you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

Can a person tell when you have just come from a worship service? Is there anything different about your behavior than the other guy out there? The way you live, the way you treat your family, your attitude?

Can people tell that you “have been with Jesus”?

Take some time today to read His Word and to pray. Ask that your life would reflect His glory to a watching world. Pray that people will be able to tell that you “have been with Jesus.”
