Tips on exercising emotional strength
When you burn with anger, let it be a warning. When you see red, let it be an alarm. Danger ahead!
Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity. Ephesians 4:26-27
Turn back. Do not give the devil the opportunity he has been seeking - for you to sin, even as if you were a murderer.
You have heard that the ancients were told, “You shall not commit murder” and “Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.” But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court. Matthew 5:21-22
Be slow on the draw. Fast with your ear. Ask, listen, seek to understand.
But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20
Exercise emotional strength. Don’t let anger become danger.
