The world offers many answers. It has its own form of wisdom and philosophy. But for the Christian all the answers to life are found in Jesus Christ. Philosophy, history, geology, and all of human thinking and science has to bow before the reality of the coming of the Son of God as one of us.
But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, that, just as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord" (1 Cor 1:30-31).
The Corinthian culture was impressed with human reasoning and philosophy, so Paul the apostle as he listed words showing the significance of Christ placed wisdom first. He said that is where all of Christian thinking begins and ends with Jesus Christ. That is because the Son of God has created the universe, and has entered history as the center of all of reality, and the summation of all of human history. He is our wisdom.
