A Niagara Falls of information is pouring on us! We live in a world where we are always being bombarded. If there is such a thing as information overload, we are suffering from it. To figure out what is going on in this world is impossible. It would be easier to drink the Pacific Ocean dry than to sort out this world. Where can we stand in this world of endless unsorted information? The answer is Christ. To fully embrace Christ is to become wise.
But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, that, just as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord" (1Cor 1:30-31).
In Christ we have the answer to who we are, where we are going, and where life is found. It is all in Christ. Being in Christ is like being a boulder, a huge one, in a stream of wild currents and powerful waves. This does not make us simpletons, but it does make life much simpler. Einstein may have figured out how the universe works but we have found out who owns and operates this universe, and our place in it.
Therefore, we can say with Paul that Christ is indeed our wisdom. And that is something to brag about. Not that we have found him, but he has found us!
