Paul assumed gender equality in Christ. You can see this in very many places and in various ways. As far as Paul was concerned, Christ has equally died for males and females. Both are of equal worth to God. As an example we can see what he said about Euodia and Syntyche, two Christian women. He first asked them to live in harmony in the Lord.
2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord.
3 Indeed, true comrade, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the Gospel, together with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. (Phil 4:2-3)
Then, Paul mentioned they shared his struggle in the cause of the Gospel and then he called the women fellow workers. A fellow worker is a person who is an equal in the work of the Lord. An Apostle may have a position of authority but his position does not make him of greater importance. He is equal in importance to anyone who is serving Jesus, but he has a different function. We are all equal in Christ Jesus.
