Christianity is more than being delivered from Hell. It is being delivered from the way of this world. The fashion of this world and its culture in the Bible is called the age or as Paul says in Galatians 1:4, the present evil age. The word for evil is maliciously evil and is also used to describe Satan.
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ,4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,5 to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen—(Gal 1:3-5).
Paul the apostle thanked God that we have been delivered from the domination of Satan as it expresses itself in the present world culture. We have become citizens of Heaven and members of the body of Christ. We must be confident and convinced in the value of our salvation and the importance of being in Christ for the deliverance from this present evil age to really matter. Our deliverance means nothing if our salvation has had no impact on us. If we are intensely aware of God as our Father and aware of the wonderful work of Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, then deliverance really matters. It's great to be out from under the heel of Satan. It's great not to be obligated to this sinful world and its politics. And it's wonderful to be consumed with God's kingdom on earth which is the body of Christ.
