Life is complicated. Leadership is complicated. Value choices, differing perspectives, priority setting, timing—the list can seem endless. Unexpected conversations cause us to question previous decisions as well as the way forward. Above it all is a God who controls history, whose perspective doesn't change, and upon whom we can humbly depend. Our dependence on Him invites His presence and perspective into our lives and leadership. Where is He calling you to depend on Him today?
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.—2 Corinthians 4:7
Prayer: God, I confess that some days I would rather not be so very dependent on You. But then I am reminded that truthfully I don't have all the answers. I need Your presence and perspective. I want to see what You will do today as I humbly depend on You. In Jesus' name, amen.
