Revelation 19
After the fall of Babylon, a vast crowd in heaven shout, “praise the Lord! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God…”
He had avenged the blood of His children. He had fulfilled His promise.
The twenty-four elders and the four living beings fell down and worshipped the Lord.
The Wedding Feast of the Lamb
With God’s wrath fully poured out, the time for the wedding feast of the Lamb has come. His bride has been prepared for Him. She has been given pure, white linen to wear, which represents the righteous deeds of God’s people.
These deeds are righteous because they are initiated by Jesus Christ, empowered by His Spirit, and carried out by faith.
All who are invited to this feast are blessed indeed. John fell down to worship the angel that instructed him to write down this blessing. “Don’t worship me'” the angel said. “I’m a servant of God, just like you and your brothers who testify about their faith in Jesus.
He is the One we worship.
The Rider on the White Horse
John sees this One riding a white horse, the One who is faithful and true. This One is the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords. There is none like Him.
From His mouth came a sharp sword. With this sword, Jesus threw the beast and his false prophet into the fiery lake of sulfur and killed all of the beast’s army. With only a word, the battle was won.
Revelation for You
Many think of the battle between good and evil as one that is being waged between parties of equal might. Does this chapter help you see that Satan is no match for Jesus Christ?
Does this truth make your heart cry out in praise to Jesus Christ, your Lord and King?
