MAY THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH AND THE MEDITATION OF MY HEART BE PLEASING TO YOU, O LORD, MY ROCK AND MY REDEEMER. - PSALM 19:14
The Christian's life should be a prayer and a walking testimony to Christ's redemption. The way that others around you know that you are a Christian is through your words and your actions. God sees even beyond these to your heart. He knows your thoughts, your motives, and the secret feelings that no one else is able to discern. He hears the words that come from your mouth, but if they do not match what's in your heart, He knows. Both should be pleasing to the Father. As you walk and talk, consider Jesus. The popular slogan, "What Would Jesus Do?" has come and gone. At one time it was on bracelets and billboards. Imagine that it still is. Would you desire that every interaction you have with another, each decision you make at work or school, and every thought that crosses your mind be pleasing to the Lord? You can only accomplish this through being in close fellowship with Christ, reading the Word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to enable you where you are weak. Ask God today to help your words and actions be pleasing to Him.
LET'S PRAY:
Father, I want to please You with my speech, actions, and thoughts. Strengthen me through Your Holy Spirit who You have sent to be my Helper. Help me to honor You in all I do and say. Amen.
