Right now, there is an epic court scene going down in the very throne room of God.
There’s God the Father and Satan. Satan is talking about you.
Satan has a huge scroll, and on that scroll is a list of every sin you’ve ever committed, even the ones that no one knows about.
One by one, in a flurry, with venom flying from his tongue, he reads all of your cosmic crimes against God. Usually Satan lies. But this time, he speaks the truth. You are in fact guilty of your sins against God.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there is a third Person in the courtroom; He’s your defense attorney. And He’s never lost a case. His Name is Jesus.
After Satan lists your sins against God, your defense attorney stands up and shows His Daddy His nail-pierced hands and feet. He shows Him the spear wound in His side.
And like the Mighty Savior He is, He declares you innocent of all charges because He lived the perfect life you couldn’t live, because He died the death you should have died on the cross, forgiving your sins, and because He rose from the dead! You’re innocent!
