THE LORD LOVES RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE; THE EARTH IS FULL OF HIS UNFAILING LOVE. —PSALM 33:5
God has placed such a beauty in the spaces where we live, in the smallest leaf and bud, in the intricacies of root systems and the earthworm's travel. The fireflies flicker on night-covered lawns, praising their Creator by doing exactly what He designed them to do.
God shapes His children as well as His creation. He knew us when we were inside our mothers, knows us now in whatever size or shape or situation we find ourselves. The same Creator who lovingly crafted His world's diversity and wonder knows the diversity of His people, the gifts and talents He has bestowed upon us.
He looks and says, "My daughters, I made you, and you are loved." He sees what His hands knit together and loves us beyond words, regardless of what the magazines say about our bodies' appearances or our own hearts' harsh inner whispers. He built us with inherent dignity, with an eternal soul unlike any other upon the earth.
Believe that He loves you, Daughter of God—all of you, not in spite of you or only parts of you. He loved you so much that He sent His Son for you. You are just as vibrant with His beauty as the most brilliant scene in all creation.
Let's pray:
Father God, help me see myself with Your eyes and see the beauty You have put in me and in others. Amen.
