Don't you find it interesting that Paul, author of half of the New Testament, asked people to pray for him to be fearless? We think of him as a brilliant apologist and theologian, a fearless and courageous missionary, unafraid of anything that stood in His calling. Yet Paul's letters frequently reveal his weakness, struggles, and suffering. He was not afraid to be authentic and transparent, and to ask others to pray for him. It sounds like God answered those prayers. Could it be that God wants to answer your prayers for confidence and fearlessness?
Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.—Ephesians 6:19-20
Prayer: God, I want to exalt the name of Jesus through my life and leadership. Give me a legacy of one who fearlessly lives for You. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
